BIO

I was born in New York in 1975, and I began playing guitar and bass at the age of 12.  I attended Tufts University beginning in 1993, majoring in philosophy, but quickly realized that a career in music was what I really wanted.  I began attending Berklee College of Music in 1996, and I excelled there, eventually graduating summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA in 2000.  My major was classical composition, but the education at Berklee was quite rigorous, and I learned a great deal about all styles of music.

I moved back to New York in 2000 and began attending graduate school at the Aaron Copland School of Music, studying, once again, classical composition.  Grad school wasn't very interesting (long story there) or necessary for my new career, so I quit and moved to San Diego. In 2007, I moved to Albuquerque, and here I remain, happily teaching and performing.

I have been in so many bands and played so many styles that it's hard to remember them all, but I have been, or been in, all of these things:

• Hard Rock Cover Band
• Original Acoustic Rock Duo
• Hip Hop Backing Guitarist
• Reggae Bassist
• Original Girl Band (Token Guy)
• Post-Rock Indie Guitarist
• Solo Classical Guitarist

• Solo Electric Latin Jazzer
• Session bassist
• Professional Song Arranger
• Cover Band Bassist
• Irish Duo Singer/Guitarist
• Acoustic Jazz Duo
